The Force Calculator
'The ZHG File' implements two different Force Calculators: The 'Easy Calculator' and the 'Advanced Calculator'. They are both easy to use, user friendly and powerful in their own way. They both beat any presence chart any time since they use the actual unit stats and the actual presence data for the calculation.
Instructions for the 'Easy Calculator'Send a reasonable amount of scouts to a location or mission, the more, the better the accuracy. When you get the report, look for the most numerous ZHG unit type and note how many of how many of that type you've killed. Enter these three numbers into the 'Easy Calculator'. You can also set a security margin to avoid clearing the location by accident. Now it will give you a good estimate of how many units (of the scouting type) you will have to send.

Real Case Scenario for the Easy Calcualtor
1. Scouting the mission
You send 10 Vindicators as scouts to a ZHG location and kill 144 of 61873 Jackals, which are the most numerous (s. screenshot 1). 2. Calculation of the necessary forces Enter 10, 144, 61873 into the respective columns. Now you will get an estimate of how many Vindicators you will have to send to clear the mission, in this case 4286 (s. screenshot 2). 3. Clearing the mission The actual number necessary to clear the location was 4293 (s. screenshot 3). That's an accuracy ratio of 99.8%. Instructions for the 'Advanced Calculator'The 'Advanced Calculator' requires further information like Level, Mission Type and Name, the scout type you sent and last but not least the numbers of each ZHG unit type killed and their total. For that, it features higher accuracy, analysis information and the possibility to safe the results in the 'Scouting Chart' (s. below).
Real Case Scenario for the Advanced Calcualtor1. Scouting the mission
You send 10 Vindicators as scouts to a ZHG location and kill 144 of 61873 Jackals, which are the most numerous (s. screenshot 1). 2. Calculation of the necessary forces and weakness analysis Enter 10, 144, 61873 into the respective columns. Now you will get an estimate of how many Vindicators you will have to send to clear the mission, in this case 4294 (s. screenshot 2). Amongst other things, The 'Advanced Calculator' tells you the weakness of the location. The ZHG weakness can either be against combat aviation or against armor. The other two types are virtually irrelevant and therefore not considered. If you use the respective unit type the location is weak against, you can expect it to have the attack advantage percentage given in the brackets, which can be as high as 200%. 3. Clearing the mission The actual number necessary to clear the location was 4293 (s. screenshot 3). That's an accuracy ratio of 99.9%. The Scouting ChartYou can safe the scouting results of the 'Advanced Calculator' in the 'Scouting Chart' with just a button click. Each entry is color coded: teal for locations that are weak against choppers, tan for locations that are weak against armor, green for locations that have been cleared (s. screenshot).
Background Information: The Overkill-PenaltyThere seems to be an 'Overkill Penalty' (Plarium calls this 'Hidden Adjustment') on ZHG locations. This means that sending more troops than theoretically necessary to clear a location will result in higher losses to a certain extent on your side. According to the calculation, 5670 Firedrakes should have cleared the location (s. screenshot 1), but since 6000 were sent, ZHG killed 5999 (s. screenshot 2). So, in this case the 'Hidden Adjustment' is equal to a penalty factor of 5,8%. It could have been even more, if more units had been sent.
You might want to keep that in mind when going in with full force the next time, especially on ZHG missions. |
